today i was talking to will, a fellow journalism buddy. he was telling me about the year he took off from school.

will went to australia, new zealand, and taiwan for eight months. how awesome is that? he saved up a good amount of money before he left, bought a ticket to australia, new zealand and back home, and then just went for it. he said that he spent his days surfing and his nights working. he ran into a friend in australia and ended up taking a road trip with him. he hadn't planned on going to taiwan, but went just on a whim because he could.

will is awesome. his trip is awesome.
